LOST SIERRA CREEKS FLY FISHING
Small Creeks Fly Fishing with Baiocchi’s Troutfitters
About Fly Fishing Lost Creeks in the Northern Sierra
Small creeks are littered throughout the Northern Sierra and Jon offers exclusive fly fishing trips for the hardiest of anglers who look for complete solitude, unbound beauty, and small wild trout. These trips require hiking around tough terrain, but the experience is one you will savor for years. The creeks are best in the summer after spring runoff has ended, and the water temperatures are still cold. During the heat of the summer, lower elevation lakes and rivers are too warm for good trout fishing, a trip to the high country can change that, and you’ll stay cool wet wading among the staircases of pocket water .
Jon’s experience with the small waters of Plumas, Lassen, and Tahoe National Forests are unmatched thanks to the countless hours of exploring. He’s familiar with the best stretches and access areas of these small creeks,, and the techniques that entice the eager wild trout to rise for a dry fly. He specializes his small water craft in the South East portion of Plumas National Forest known as the “Lost Sierra”. Jamison creek, Frazier Creek, Gray Eagle Creek, and many other secret waters beg to be explored with very little fishing pressure.
Visit my blog for frequently updated fishing reports on Lake Davis, Frenchman Lake, the Middle Feather River, the Lower Yuba River, the North Fork Yuba River, and the Truckee River area.

Kudos
“Jon delivered the true fly fishing experience. I hooked up with Jon to learn about the Graeagle area, an area of California that I had never fished. Jon really took the time to find out what I wanted from our day and guided me to a beautiful small Plumas County stream. Jon delivered a day that I will remember for years. Fishing with Jon was like fishing with an old buddy and as a bonus, I learned many new and tricks on ways to approach fly fishing. Thanks Jon and can’t wait to get back out there with you and explore more of the Plumas area!”
